June 12 - Louisa Edwards: Through The Eyes Of The Editor
Before signing with an agent who sold her contemporary romance series in a four-book deal to St. Martin’s Press, Louisa Edwards worked as an assistant editor at Berkley Publishing Group. In this workshop, she’ll share the
invaluable lessons she learned there about what to write, what to expect, and how to succeed.
Through topics ranging from craft to career, Louisa will talk you through the editorial process, the top reasons an editor decides to accept or reject a book, and how to make your work stand out from the crowd. The second half of the workshop will be a frank, non-judgmental Q&A session. Ask the question you always wished you could ask an editor!
Louisa has published six contemporary romances with St. Martin’s Press—most recently Hot Under Pressure, which wrapped up her Rising Star Chef Trilogy in April 2012. She’ll be launching a brand new contemporary romance series with St. Martin’s in 2013, under the name Lily Everett.
